MAY DAY PAPER BASKETS

For cooler rainy days, homemade crafts are still a huge hit with my daughter. I recently shared with her what I use to do at her age for May Day. We would craft a homemade basket out of paper and leave it on our neighbor's door - filled with all sorts of spring fun, like flowers or snacks.

My young daughter prepared a lovely basket today and went a step further with homemade flowers.

It is so cute and easy to do - please see the pictures below.

MATERIALS USED:

Construction or scrapbook paper in all colors;
Glue or double sided tape;
Scissors and ruler

My daughter used a plate to draw a circle as well as cut out a strip for the handle (ribbon can also be used).

(TIP: Turn paper over so pencil marks cannot be seen.)

She formed a cone shape and glued in place.

Then, she glued homemade paper flowers to paper grass and glued it around the top off the basket on the inside.

Don't forget to add the Welch's.

Do you have any easy crafts to share?
