My two kids are still fond of Easter egg hunts, sometimes the weather allows it to be outside, sometimes we have it indoors, and we always end it with a fun themed Easter basket to celebrate Easter. While, candy and chocolates are always high on everyone's list - we like to change it every year and offer nontraditional items, too.
Below, please find a few EASTER BASKET IDEAS for your Easter baskets and gifts:
Depending on age, coloring books and crayons are a great stuffer for big baskets;
If you are going to get candy and chocolates, consider a new toothbrush with a fun kid safe toothpaste to go with it. Easter is a great time to change out the old toothbrush;
To get ready for getting back outside (for us northeastern folks), a new outdoor game, jump rope or outdoor chalk will give kids something to look forward to, when the weather finally gets a bit warmer--yay;
Depending on what your children enjoy doing, a themed basket is fun for kids. Items like kid size garden tools and gloves, sports items like new balls, books, or a movie night with popcorn and a favorite movie;
Hair accessories, nail polish sets and beauty products are a cute idea for older girls;
If experiences are something you wish to instill rather than items, organize a scavenger hunt or enjoy coloring eggs; and
Welch's Easter shaped fruit snacks of bunnies, flowers, eggs and chicks are always a great idea for inside plastic eggs for hunts, baskets, even lunch boxes for Easter week;
Find Welch's Easter shaped fruit snacks at Target and Walmart from March 13th through April 17th.
