Succulents Box

Disclosure: I am an affiliate of Succulents Box. Any opinions are my own.

Subscription Boxes are all the rage and I recently heard about the Succulents Box and jumped right on it. I love succulent plants, they are so hardy, beautiful year round and easy to take care of! Succulents Box offers 1-4 plant monthly subscriptions and you can also order plants separately. They come packaged in bubble wrap and usually in a plastic container ready for a pot (clay pots can also be purchased on their site along with many other great items).

Visit their website: Succulents Box and learn about their variety of succulents. They currently offer more than 200 both popular and rare ones with 5 monthly subscription boxes to choose from. See below for a list of choices.

Succulents Box

I was so happy to receive my box of succulents. I have always wanted an aloe and was delighted to see a variety of one included, along with three other beautiful plants. I cannot wait to find the right pot and replant these beauties and watch them thrive!

SUCCULENT PLANTS IN THE JUNE BOX INCLUDE:

  • Blue Atoll Echeveria - an evergreen succulent forming a very pretty rosette packed with fleshy, blue-green leaves. In spring, it sends up 8 inch tall stems which bear small orange and yellow flowers.
  • Tiger Tooth Aloe Juvenna - a small succulent native to Kenya that grows upright up to 12 inches tall and starts branching from the base of the stem.
  • Melaco Echeveria Brown Rose - an attractive succulent plant that grows up to 6 inches tall, with shiny brownish-red rosette with green center.
  • Haworthia Cymbiformis Var. Obtusa - A soft succulent with dense rosettes up to 6 inches in diameter, forming round clumps.

    CARING FOR YOUR PLANT:

Right after you receive your package, open it immediately. Carefully and gently remove the packing materials and bubble wrap, some soil may come loose. Do not put the plants in sunlight immediately. These are greenhouse grown succulents, so they need to get acclimated to sunlight gradually. Keep them in the shade or indirect sunlight, and slowly introduce them to direct sunlight.

Allow the plants a few days to recover, then repot if necessary and start watering. If you receive the plants bare root, immediately pot them in porous succulent and cactus soil mix, then follow the same instructions above. The plants will perk up in no time after getting a good watering.

TIP: Most succulents like direct sun when the temperatures are low (mornings / evenings) and filtered sun or partial shade when temperatures are high (mid-afternoon). Enjoy!
