Jazz Loves Disney

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post from Disney Music and One2One Network. All opinions are my own.

Disney movies have been a huge part of my life, they have made such an impact. I have been watching them for as long as I can remember. Back when they were on VHS tapes, I collected them. One of my first favorite movies was Lady and the Tramp. I love Lady and the Tramp, so sweet, so colorful with a lot of catchy songs. All Disney songs are catchy and such a big part of their movies! It would be hard to choose a favorite, because I truly love them all! I also love how Disney encourages us to dream big and believe in magic.

Disney has been loved for generations and I am delighted to continue to share more Disney movies with my two young kids and also this fun Jazz Loves Disney CD! We have seen all the movies listed on the CD and love singing along. It is such a fun and fantastic combination of songs and artists.

    Track Listing:

  1. Jamie Cullum - "Everybody Wants To Be A Cat" - from The Aristocats
  2. Melody Gardot - "He's A Tramp" - from Lady And The Tramp
  3. Stacey Kent - "Bibbidi Bobbodo Boo" (French version) - from Cinderella
  4. Gregory Porter - "When You Wish Upon A Star" - from Pinocchio
  5. China Moses - "Why Don't You Do Right" - from Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
  6. Raphael Gualazzi - "I Wanna Be Like You" - from The Jungle Book

  8. Hugh Coltman - "You've Got A Friend In Me" - from Toy Story
  9. Anne Sila - "Let It Go" - from Frozen
  10. Melody Gardot & Raphael Gualazzi - "The Bare Necessities" - from The Jungle Book
  11. Laika - "Once Upon A Dream" - from Sleeping Beauty
  12. Nikki Yanofsky - "Someday My Prince Will Come" - from Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs
  13. The Hot Sardines - "I Wanna Be Like You" (French & English version) - from The Jungle Book

It is Stacey Kent's rendition of Bibbidi Bobbodo Boo that has me wanting to learn French, so I can sing along. Although, the English version is just as hard lol, yet so much fun as a sing along! Stacey's quote below really sums up Disney:

"I've always loved Disney films and Disney music. There's magic about the fairytale world they conjure up. The song I chose from Cinderella captures that feeling of magical wonderment that I felt as a child. The song BIBBIDI BOBBIDI BOO, speaks to the child in us all, that still believes - or would like to believe - that we can do magic. As we grow up, we are at the risk of losing that sense of possibility but music has always had the power to transform the world and make it a better place; If that's not magic, what is?"

For me, I can be affected by the music alone, even instrumentals, it can move me to tears! I have cried often watching Disney movies, but they always turn out good. I love that about Disney, there is often a tragedy at the start but then it shows you that things eventually work out!

Another favorite movie of mine is The Jungle Book with the great song "The Bare Necessities". Reminding us the importance of taking it easy, trying not to worry and finding happiness with the bare necessities of life!

Disney has so many great movies and songs. Which one is your favorite?
