Biz on Stains

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post with Biz Detergent. Opinions are 100% mine.

The Holidays are a busy time for us all. With so much on our plate, laundry can get the back burner. In preparation for this busy time ahead, I would like to share some laundry tips to get your place ready for guests for the holidays, and throughout the year. These have been very helpful with our family and I hope the same for you and yours! Please share your tips in the comments below.

7 Laundry Tips for Holiday Prep:

1. Be prepared

Are you a list maker? Things take time to plan and lists are a great way to ensure things are not overlooked or forgotten. I find I am much more productive when I make lists. Be sure to add your tablecloth and napkins to the top of the list, I did and they will need a fresh wash. I will also handwash our Christmas stockings and tree skirt. Maybe our mittens and hats. Try to do as much as you can, when you can, or add it to the list.

2. Pre-treat stains right away if you can

Stuck on stains that have been in your wash all week (or your closet all year) are not going to be easy to remove, unless you pre-treat. If you pre-treat the stain before putting the item in the basket, even better. That way, if you forget by the end of the week or even the next day, there is no need to search through the dirty clothes, because you pre-treated immediately. Wet or soak overnight real stubborn stains first for optimum results.

3. Try a quick wash

Most if not all washing machines will have a quick wash setting that could knock off up to 15 minutes from a cycle. Use your quick wash setting, it is perfect for any wash.

4. Run an extra spin cycle

If your clothes still feel wet or damp after a wash, it may be overloaded, run an extra spin cycle to remove any excess water before placing in the dryer, for a faster dryer cycle. Even better if you can hang dry items.

5. Separate by color and fabric

If you only wash on weekends and have a lot of laundry, consider separating clothes not only by light and dark, but also by fabric, that way you can use cold water for dark and delicates, warm for lights and whites, and hot for towels.

NOTE: I sometimes like to add our socks in with our towels. Towels are so easy to fold and
put away for a quick easy load, adding our socks make them easier to find and match up.

6. Clean your washing machine

You may overlook the need to clean your washing machine. But, I recommend doing it from time to time. Simply run a quick wash with nothing inside but a little Biz Detergent, or baking soda, I have heard a half cup of mouthwash is a good one, too for antiseptic purposes. Also, check and remove any lint from your dryer vent, both inside and out.

7. Consider multiple hampers

If you have the room, consider using multiple hampers. Not only will they make sorting easier, but they will make laundry time quicker. With multiple hampers, you can sort as you go... one for whites, one for darks, and maybe one for delicates or stained or towels, you decide. The best hampers are the ones you can throw in the wash, or wipe down, because they will need refreshing, too!

Not every piece of clothing will need to be washed after only one use. Be kind to your clothes, especially sweaters and delicates and wash only when smelly or stained.

With Biz Liquid Detergent, the stain fighter, I do not have to worry too much about what the stain is before using it. Biz has all non-bleach, stain fighting ingredients included and is the only brand with Enzamix, a unique blend of enzymes designed to quickly dissolve bacteria from grass, sweat, blood, and more from all fabrics.

BIZ BIZ

Regardless of the stain, Biz will remove them all. Tried and tested. Have you tried Biz yet?
