Children's Book: Captain Snout and the Super Power Questions by Dr. Daniel Amen

October 10, 2017

Captain Snout

Disclosure: I received this book complimentary for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

Dr. Daniel Amen does it again. We are big fan's of Dr. Amen's book: Time for Bed, Sleepyhead, for helping us put our young kids to bed and now he is teaching us about ANT's: Automatic Negative Thoughts. There is nothing pleasant about these negative thoughts and Dr. Amen will share tactics to help kids and adults alike to turn around negative thoughts in Captain Snout and the Super Power Questions; Don’t Let the Ants Steal Your Happiness.

By changing our thoughts we can change our brain to function in a healthier way.

When the Pennypepper children want a puppy, their parents agree to it, but not until the kids earn some money to buy supplies. The children thought a car wash was a perfect way to bring in some money and it was, until customers stopped coming. They first thought they stopped coming because they were no good at it and then started blaming each other, until Captain Snout comes to save them from their negative thoughts.

Captain Snout teaches kids about the different types of negative thoughts they might have, and teaches them just what to do when faced with them. This book is ideal for helping children build self-confidence and self-esteem. Another great Dr. Amen book to add to our collection!
